Craig Stokes
Home town - Kinghorn
D.O.B - 8/8/75

Craig has always had an interest in motorbikes but didn't start riding them until he was 22. He got really hooked when he started working at Cupar Motorcycles Ltd in Jan 2000 as a mechanic. This may sound like a dream job but he can assure you bike lovers it ain't all racing and glamour. He started doing track recovery at Knockhill at the KDMC run bike meetings and after 3 years decided he wanted a crack at it himself. Getting a bike is easy, especially 400cc models as there are a lot of imports around. He chose a Honda VFR400 NC30, then after a few forms and an eye test obtained his race license.

The hard part is trying to get people to sponsor you, sending letters to local companies and talking to business men.

"I've been lucky as some of the suppliers at Cupar have sponsored me along with Cupar Motorcycles themselves." comments Craig.

Craig was then lucky enough to meet John from GVRS at Archway Motors in Kinghorn. John offered to buy his race tyres if he put DIAL-A-TOW on the race bike and job done!

It's people like John and his other sponsors that make it all possible for Craig. They help make racing a reality because without them he just wouldn't be able to do it.

A big thanks to you.
